180402 - Motivation Monday - Do it for your BONES!

Bone density is simple! Imagine branches on a tree...you can snap the little ones super easy but those big ones would need some extra aggressive force to break! If you have low bone density, your skeletal structure might as well be twigs! But GOOD NEWS! You are doing something every day when you come to CrossFit to build your branches!

Weight and resistance training causes our bodies to overcome gravity in a way that makes our muscles pull heavily on our bones and therefore forcing the living tissue of our skeleton to regrow and rebuild! Low impact exercises like swimming ain't going to have the same effect folks!  

As we start our Wendler 5/3/1 program, remember that we are making both our muscles AND our bones stronger! Make sure you give your 1RMs to your coach so we can get a training plan ready for you before next week!
