Here's a small sample of the faces you'll see at Choice City CrossFit!

Each person is appreciated for who they are and what they bring to the table! We are all different but come together to make one big and bonded fit fam!

I love the family here at Choice City! The coaches are so eager to help you to learn new exercises in a way that you can do them. Their enthusiasm is contagious! It is so confirming to feel supported and not out of place.  Everyone cheers for each other and give high fives no matter how you did or who you are. Even though everyone must be 40 years younger than me, I always feel accomplished. I love being here and starting my day off this way!

After taking an unintended 5+ year hiatus from any significant physical activity, I was looking for a way to improve my physical fitness and hopefully boost my energy level. I had heard about CrossFit but was apprehensive of trying it for a variety of reasons (mainly I didn’t think I possessed the strength and wherewithal to do it). Anyhow, I eventually bit the bullet and scheduled an intro with Coach Michael. He immediately put my apprehensions aside, and one week later I was hooked on CCCF.

Everything about CCCF makes it special! The coaches, athletes, beer in the fridge, and most of all Buddy (the gym dog). Our coaching staff is awesome, they are all very knowledgeable and get to know their athletes' abilities to help them safely achieve their goals. It really doesn’t matter how big (to make regionals) or small (first box jump) your goal is, they see them all as something to work towards and achieve.

CCCF has been my home since I started CrossFit in the fall of 2013. The thing that makes CCCF the most special to me is the focus on being better as a person. While we all love to get PRs and look great in the mirror, what CCCF focuses on is functional movement; making sure we're all taught to do the movements properly so our bodies improve with strength, mobility and durability. All of the coaches at bring a unique personality to the classes they teach but they are always on the same page with what the focus should be for the day and prioritizing quality of movement over speed, reps or weight.

The minute I joined Choice City, I fell in love with the people. The love and support I received from everyone gave me that “community” feeling I was looking for, people to connect to, and a place where I felt like I was back home. Choice City is far from a gym, it's far from a place to “workout,” it’s a place to go when I need something to brighten my day, a place to go when I need advice, and a place to go where I know I can be Janell.  Whether you’re getting your first pull-up, deadlifting 50 million pounds, or simply walking into the front door…. Choice City has your back.

I originally started CrossFit back home to get in shape. When I moved to Fort Collins, I didn't know anyone and figured continuing CrossFit up here would give me a chance to meet new people. I continue to do it today because it gives me a place to get away from school and the stress of studying! Choice City is amazing because they are my second family. It really 'is my home away from home and I don't know what I would do without the love and support of my Fit Fam! I LOVE Choice City!

From a performance standpoint, the level of experience our coaches and especially Michael bring is incredible. I remember being struck watching our athletes compete at a recent local competition. Just the difference that CCCF athletes had in form across the board was very noticeable. However, more than anything else the community we have here makes it feel like a second home. It really is wonderful to come in daily and see friends doing awesome things and being an inspirational, be it killing a work out, encouraging others, or just plain being awesome.

I've been swimming since the age of 9 and became a division I athlete in college. I have the competitive athletic blood in me, not to mention it's way cheaper than therapy. I was also diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 16 years ago after my first pregnancy. I think the movement and exercise that CrossFit provides keeps away flare-ups in my arthritis and stress. Being able to come in, no matter who you are, and feel apart of something big and a great community. I have different groups of friends and it's nice to have a group that encompasses everything I need.

It's a smaller group and family oriented. Much more personalized attention! It's great having Michael as a coach, self-admitted grump that he might be sometimes, he's also hugely compassionate and caring. It's nice to have coaches that are so knowledgeable about what they do! This September it will have been 3 years since I started! CrossFit has it's ups and downs both physically and mentally, but I've learned to listen to my body and mind and keep on pushing!
